This operation can be performed on the upper lids as well as the lower lids. Lower lids can be performed through the inside of the eyelid (transconjunctival), or through the eyelid skin (subciliary). Lower lids are always a place to be conservative. If skin needs to be taken, less should be taken. Fat is often times repositioned here instead of removed. Eyelid surgery is generally the fastest area to heal on the body.
