Tummy Tuck
Tummy Tuck
The tummy tuck procedure is generally considered for women who have had children and have complaints of loose skin, stretch marks, and tummy bulging. It is most often performed on patients who are not planning on having any more children. With the surgery the abdominal skin containing the stretch marks is removed, the abdominal muscles are sutured tighter, the wound is closed, and a new belly button is fashioned.
Most women who elect to have this procedure prefer the scar to be low so that it is hidden in their underwear, and is as short as possible. In addition they want their belly button to look as real as possible. The recovery is longer than many of the other plastic surgery procedures resulting in a slower return to work and full exercise.
